The People’s Friendship University of Russia, also called RUDN University, is counted amongst the best universities, not just in Russia, but in the world. The Institute of Medicine was established in the year 1961. Today, it has 43 departments, as well as 2 independent courses with around 2300 students. The university holds 420 lectures including 5 academicians, 2 corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, 3 laureates of RF State Prizes, 24 academicians and corresponding members of social academies, 2 laureates of government State Prizes, 15 honoured scientists of the Russian Federation (RF), 132 full professors, as well as 220 PhDs.
