Alexandria is a private university in Egypt also known as Farouk University. It is also operated as a satellite body of Cairo University (Fuad University). The university was established in 1983 and is known for providing versatile education in Egypt. It is home to 150000 students, 6,000 part-time undergraduates, and close to 5,000 international students, with over 8,000 academic staff that makes it the second-largest university in Egypt.
The university has faculty comprising Agriculture, Arts, Medicine, Engineering Commerce, Law and Science, which have grown over the years to its current total of 23. Newer specialisms such as Tourism and Sports Education are included in its structure.
